Keikigrow Plus & Orchids

  • Keikigrow Plus is a lanolin paste containing hormones and vitamins to produce keikis (plantlets) identical to the flowering plant from the nodes of Phalaenopsis spikes. It will also encourage any dormant buds such as on Australian Native Dendrobiums, Cattleya divisions or Cymbidium backbulbs to force new growths and promotes the growth of secondary basal buds when crown of vandaceous plants has been damaged
  • DIRECTIONS FOR USING KEIKIGROW PLUS WITH PHALAENOPSIS ORCHIDS

Follow normal sanitary precautions. Wash hands and any utensils to be used in a mild disinfectant solution. Keep KEIKIGROW away from eyes, skin and children. Store at room temperature and use within one year of date of purchase.

Apply KEIKIGROW to the meristem tissue on flower spikes of your selected plant. The meristem tissue surrounds a tiny bud under the covering bract around each node on the flower spike. Treat 3 to 4 nodes per spike up to a maximum of 2 spikes per plant. Be careful not to damage the small bud or the meristem tissue during application.

  • DIRECTIONS FOR USING KEIKIGROW PLUS ON BACKBULBS AND CANES OF ORCHIDS SUCH AS AUSTRALIAN DENDROBIUMS, CATTLEYAS & CYMBIDIUMS

Keikigrow plus can be used to treat both the dormant buds at the base of canes or bulbs and those at the top of the canes near the base of the leaves in Dendrobiums. Treating the lower buds produces new growths while treating those at the top (which normally produce flower spikes) generally results in keikis.

    • Carefully remove the covering over the lower buds (if shoots rather than keikis are wanted) with the tip of a clean sharp knife
